Mitchell Jacobs is a writer and educator from Minnetonka, Minnesota. While earning an MFA in Creative Writing at Purdue University, he served as managing editor for Sycamore Review. Afterward, he completed a Fulbright fellowship, teaching English for two years at the National University of Laos. He currently lives in Los Angeles, where he is a PhD candidate in English at the University of Southern California. His work appears in journals such as Gulf Coast, Massachusetts Review, Missouri Review, New Ohio Review, Ninth Letter, Ploughshares, and Slice, as well as on The Slowdown podcast through American Public Media. In 2017, he was a finalist for the Missouri Review's Editors' Prize in Poetry.
