Mitchell Jacobs is a writer and educator from Minnetonka, Minnesota. He is currently a PhD candidate in English and Creative Writing at the University of Southern California and serves as the managing editor of Ricochet Editions. Prior to this, he completed a Fulbright fellowship, teaching English for two years at the National University of Laos, and earned an MFA in Creative Writing at Purdue University. His work appears in journals such as Cincinnati Review, Gulf Coast, Massachusetts Review, Ninth Letter, Ploughshares, Slice, and Southern Review, as well as on The Slowdown podcast through American Public Media. He is the 2024 winner of the Prufer Poetry Prize from Pleiades journal.
